Gordo has been supporting a South African family from J Bay with Joel Parkinson. Gordo is calling on the Gold Coast Community to support a fundraiser to be held at Surf World with all proceeds being donated to the Family in South Africa. Gordo will personally deliver all donations at the J Bay Pro starting in July. The night will feature an auction of WSL memorabilia, a surfboard from Davo, lucky door prizes, and the screening of his own Gold Coast Surfing documentary that features the late Wayne Deane. Gordo has won multiple media awards as a news cameraman and is an integral cog in the WSL live webcast camera crew.
